Yet, Ross Winter is more than a musician; he's a sensitive soul on a profound artistic journey, channelling his insights on human behaviour into evocative compositions that straddle the delicate balance between the macro and microcosms of existence. With a background in drawing and painting, he learned the art of stepping back to focus on the bigger picture, seamlessly translating this skill into his music, weaving intricate sonic tapestries that resonate on both a personal and universal level.

Born on the 11th of August, 1980, in Malton, a rural town in North Yorkshire. Ross's artistic odyssey began in earnest upon his move to York and later Leeds and Bristol, where he immersed himself in the vibrant music scene while studying art and design and music technology. His journey led him to the pulsating heart of the DIY Glasgow music scene, where he found success with his post-punk band Sex Cakes, captivating audiences at festivals like Doune The Rabbit Hole, and Sol Fest.

Ross Winter's sound is shaped by a kaleidoscope of influences, from the hypnotic rhythms of underground raves to the introspective melodies of acoustic guitar. His music serves as a mirror to the yearnings of the human soul, embracing honesty and suspense with every chord and lyric. After Ross releases his debut single on the 8th of April 2024 he will continue to push the boundaries of his artistry, listeners can expect to be drawn deeper into the enigmatic world he creates with each new release.
